Geomatics Lab &
Equipment Training Program

 


Located at TECTERRA, the Geomatics Equipment Training
Geomatics Lab provides
state-of-the-art geomatics test and development equipment for available for use by Canadian companies and those
engaged in applied R&D
of emerging geomatics technology.

You can use our onsite lab & equipment or take equipment out for off-site use.

Lab equipment covers multiple areas of geomatics including  a unique, multi-system GNSS simulator (GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, inertial systems, wireless location), that allows for testing under various conditions such as flying, driving at high speed or with signal interference.

Lab Equipment

Lab equipment is available for Canadian companies and those engaged in applied research and development. Please see our lab equipment brochure to find a list of the equipment we have available. Please contact labtech@tecterra.com if you’re interested in using any of the equipment.

The Lab is open Monday - Friday from 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.

Equipment Training

TECTERRA hosts numerous equipment training courses on the geomatics equipment in our lab. These courses provide hands-on, professional instruction with a completion certificate at the end of the course.

There is no cost to participate in these training sessions but you must be registered. Sign up at training@tecterra.com

Jan 17-19, 2012: GNSS Simulator Training with Spirent

  • Three days of training on our state of the art GNSS Simulator. Includes training in SimGen, SimIntertial, and SimAuto.
  • Learn how to create testing scenarios for new prototypes or market-ready products

Jan 25-26, 2012: 3D Printer and Scanner Training

  • Rapid Prototyping and 3D scanning technology
  • Learn how to use the ZCorp 700CX scanner and ZPrinter 450

2011

October 17-21, 2011: iGrav relative gravimeter training

  • Includes both classroom and external training

  • External training on the 19th and/or 20th

     

October 24-27, 2011: A-10 absolute gravimeter training

  • Includes both classroom and external training

  • External training will be the 25th with an optional
    day of the 26th

July 21, 2011: GNSS Simulator training by Spirent

August 10-11, 2011: Ground Penetrating Radar training by Sensors and Software
